Hey guys. I've been lurking here and doing tons of searching now for about a month and have read over so many reviews but it seems like many car audio items are based solely on the user and now i'm being really indecisive. I currently have some cheap pioneer 2 channel amping up some pioneer 6x9 on a LP crossover for bass. Since i have no rear fill speakers anymore I've come to notice the unclarity of the stock component speakers and the horrible bass provided by the 6x9. I want to upgrade my system on an extremely limited college student budget. Right now I have
2 options:
1) Keep the pioneer amp that puts out 50w rms per ch for pair of
aftermarket components and get another 2 ch amp+sub
2) Ditch the pioneer amp and get a 4 channel amp and use 2 channels
for comps and bridge 2 channels for sub
Equipment im looking at:
6.5 components $100-125): JL audio XR, PG xenon, Crystal, RE
Amp ($100-125: Aura, Profile, MA
Sub ($100-125): RE, eD
I listening to a variety of music from eagles to rap so I'm looking at a system that can handle a full range. SQ is of great importance to me and SPL I just want loud enough to make me happy at reasonable listening volumes...dun plan on going deaf. I'm trying to build a system that has the potential to bump if I wanted to. Can you gurus please help me out on the selection of these equipment. I would greatly appreciate it.
