I've been searching through the forums, and I see a few other people with issues like mine, but I wanted to double check with the specifics of my problem before I go out and buy the part.
When the Faceplate is Up/Closed, everything works just fine.
When the Faceplate is moving to open, it will get just about half way (the CD eject postion), then the whole unit powers off. About 2 seconds later, the Faceplate moves back to closed, and the unit powers back on about a second after that. Then it trys to open again. Endless cycle until I press for it to stay closed.
When ejecting/inserting a CD, the unit works normally as long as it doesn't try to have the flaceplate go to Open.
I've tried removing the faceplat and putting it back, cleaning off the connecters and all that, but the problem persists.
Will my problem be fixed by
F/P Ribbon Cable Service Kit I've seen recomended to others to fix their problems with similar systems and issues? Or is there something else that might be causing this?
