Too many amps?

I have a 2004 Crown Victoria with what I think is a 130 amp alternator and a stock battery. I am planning on purchasing three Aura 2300 amps from Parts Express and running some components up front and two 15" Type Rs in the back, one amp for the components, one for each of the subs. Here's the link to the amps.

The question is: Is this too much for my stock electrical system? If so, what should I buy to beef it up for the cheapest? If at all possible, I don't want to have to upgrade anything electrical, but if it is absolutely neccessary...

I will help u. U will most likely have to upgrade. DO the big 3. I do not no the specs of those amps. But that is three amps on the stock electical system.

You won't have to upgrade. Just do the Big 3.

no, just do the big 3 and if you can swap out the battery. I ran 2 jl 1000/1 and a 300/4 in my vic and had no problem whatsover. All I had done was big 3 with 4 guage wires, and a marine deep cycle battery.

they're also class A/B, which means more current draw than a class D it's size...

I would go with an upgraded battery and the Big 3.

It's piggy backing the sucky stock connections from the alternator to the battery +, and the grounds from the battery - to the chassis and the engine block to the chassis. Do a search and you will get 12541541 threads on it!!!!!!!

With the Big 3 and just your stock battery you will be fine IMO.

And yet you still post?

To the original poster, the best way to find out will be to try it. You may have no trouble at all, or you may need to think about electrical upgrades.

Give it a shot.
