today- drag racing

its not the fact that he was wrong, it was more or less the fact that he was acting like he was john force and knew everything about drag racing.
Confidence is not a weakness IMO. He made a mistake he admitted it. He is a young person and still learning to communicate and play nicely with others. Hell at any age it takes effort sometimes.
While it's one thing to say you are not correct (and he was way off). There is no need for 5 people to tell him he is stupid/shouldn't talk/etc. He thought one thing and now stands corrected. I know none of you so what do I care either way, just an observation.

ok... 1/8 mile accounts for what? think about this buddy. u run a 16 second 1/4. with all those mods. how the hell is that fast? a stock honda civic is faster than that. my 1996 altima is that fast. and ur runnin a 66 chevelle with an edelbrok carb and too many parts to list? i think ur running a CHEVETTE, not a CHEVELLE.
Lemans just because he runs a little slower then 8 in teh 1/8th of a mile doesnt mean he is gonna automatically get a 16... with a 7.8 second 1/8th mile time he is prolly running high 13's low 14's in the 1/4.... remember...

higher gear = higher speed = faster time.....

Lol dammit i forgot to read the whole thread before posting this....... =(

my car has been on around a 800 lb diet... i have taken everything off of the car and sandblasted EVERY piece of frame, and body. Repainted the frame , and the body. Cut out un-necessary (SP?) stuff... you wouldnt believe how much stuff would come off of a car like that..... and last night I went to Byhalia (1/4) and ran a 11.86 with my holley 1100 dominator carburetor (dont use it quite often due to methenol prices locally... 11$ a gallon)

dammit ok man i got it. take the weed outta ur avatar.

7's in a street car is great....

that's why there are so many times on a drag slip...for instance.

light tells reaction time, then you have 60', which shows how well you are planting the power, 330' same, 1/8th and MPH and 1/4 and MPH. Some cars have terrible 60' due to slow, or lack of sticking. But they can MPH BIG time on the big end of the track. Heck my 4200 lbs truck had a 1.81 60' and ran the 1/4 at 12.98 at 105.

But I have buddies that can 1.30 60' on the REAR tires.....

so all the times show everything...you could have a 10 second car get beat on the street by a stock Honda if he goes up in smoke...street racing proves nadda IMHO, because usually the fater car, can never hook up.

you can always count on james to make fun of me as much as possible //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Hey lemans, as long as you're willing to admit your mistakes thats all that matters. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/spank.gif.0d78e34d42ea8780359e903aeb6697d6.gif
no that is physics, acceleration rates? velocity?
