today- drag racing

ok, during the first 1/8 the car has to accelerate up to speed, say 80 mph, it takes time to do that, if its going 80 at the start of the second 1/8 even if it doesn't accelerate any more it will still have a faster time than the first 1/8

therefore, his 1/4 is less than 14 sec since the first 1/8 is 7 sec and the second 1/8 will be less than the first

 
i dont understand why people dont understand a dragstrip..... you do a small burnout before you go to the line, TO GET YOUR TIRES STICKY then at the line they spray some sort of glue to KEEP FROM SPINNING THE TIRES... I dont see anyone going around spraying glue at a stoplight... and i didnt have my slicks on it.. i just had my regular grips, i cant run slicks with everyday driving, well i can but it wont be street legal!!.. ok here are my mods... brodix aluminum heads, slightly domed pistons, hooker headers, comp cam, edelbrock 750 CFM carb, edelbrock intake manifold, MDS ignition with rev limiter, and a home made hood scoop

Doubleing the ET of the 1/8th is just nuts, wtf are you thinkin. In the1/4 the first 1/8th the car is starting out at 0mph, but when it hits the second 1/8 (to make a quarter mile) it doesnt restart at 0 its still going and going faster.

That has already been established.

If i am not mistaken to get somewhere CLOSE to a 1/4th time by looking at a 1/8th time, you do something similar to the following:

7.49/2 which is 3.745 take that and add it to my original number which is 7.49 and you get 11.24 (11.235 rounded up) that seems close to when I ran at byhalia last year, but i dont quite remember.... If i can round up around 3g's then I am going to get a good supercharger for it... that should boost me up to a ten sencond car.... i hope it does anyways! also when i drive my car in the city its really hard to make tunrs cause i got the diff locked with 4.11's... YALL ARE MISSING THE POINT... my dad went up for a drink and as soon as he did, we went, and got a face full of old milwaukee.... anyways.... lol
