THE WHOLE THING!!!
So i've been having a problem with my truck lately, and it just escalated to a new level today.
The starter has been having some problems for a while now, it has a few dead spots in it. I've been lucky enough to have it catch on a good spot after a few minutes of constantly clicking it.
Well, on thursday it finally decided to stop being nice to me and finally just stopped starting. On top of that, it snows a foot on wednesday night.
So here I am in a foot of snow trying to get my truck running. I jack up the truck and get the starter out (mind you, i'm laying on a tarp in my apartment's parking lot, getting snowed on).
So i get the starter out and all seems well (except for the starter of course). So i get a new starter today and try to get it in there. Problem #1: the starter won't fit up in there with the wires attached (battery and ignition leads). So i unhook those and try again.
Problem #2: I STILL can't get it to go in there, not to mention that i have no way of getting the battery and ignition leads on there even if I DO get it in.
So finally i take my aggression out on a nearby bush, and back to work i go.
I hook up the one wire i can and still be able to get the starter in there (the battery lead). Problem #3: I get the starter up in where it almost needs to be, then i try to manuver it a little bit to get it up higher, the ring terminal that attaches the battery lead to the starter snaps off.....fuck
So, here I am in a parking lot while it's snowing with a broken battery lead and no way to fix it. Needless to say, that bush felt my wrath again.
Now it looks like i'm going to have to tow the bastard home and try to fix it there. And all i wanted to do was drive to class. I guess i'm lucky that it decided to die at my apartment complex rather than on campus.
Sorry for the long post, just needed to vent my frustration:furious:
Long story short: fuck GM engineers
