yeah, people told me that going active will make your system sound better. So i starting jogging, but didnt' notice a difference. One advantage of active with time alignment is that you can correct weird phasing or placement issues.

I only run active cause i already had my 360.2 and didnt want to spend 500$ on the passive xovers for the speakers...

and everyone knows as soon as you run active, you automatically get 1st in SQ events...call me crazy but its true:crazy:

I won't run more than 3-way because I think that is hard enough in a car. IMHO, 4-way will drive one to drinking:emb:

1) Independant t/a and level control for each speaker.

2) Being able to choose whatever slope I want at all of my crossover points.

3) Less expensive buying raw speakers than buying a new comp set every time I want to try new speakers out.

you can do that w/ bi-amping passives if passive allows

But it is not the norm by any means. You can do that with ANY speakers if you go active.

Honestly, bought a raw driver heard good things about, search for a good tweeter to try to pair up with it and experiment with the both of them to try to achieve a sound that was best suited for my taste.
