Ok I am about to install all my powermaster D1000's this weekend and install my powermaster 993 stepdown module. I was reading over the paper work that came with the 993 and it said that max current draw is 50 amps. I am going to be using a red top for the car and mid/higs amp. My question is if I run the output wire firm the 993 to the red top is it only going to be charging at 50 amps or what?

The best thing to do is clamp your vehicle and find the amp draw.The 993 is rated 25a continues 50 max.
