tline design help

I want to design a tline for my ht but I'm very new to it. Right now I have 2 re re 12's in 6 cu ft tuned to 20 hz. It modeled up well in winisd but it doesn't play very well in the higher freq. Range because of the low tuning and I think I have too much port area because I think its unloading at low freq.

I've started some research and think a 1/4 wave tline is my solution but I've never designed one and have no idea how it will react

I found the quarterwave website and used the calc but I have no idea how it will sound or to even begin designing it

Anyone know a way to model up a tline to see how it will react

How does a tappered design change sound?

my driver has a fs of 20hz so if i tune my tline to 30hz will its still maintain the properties of a tline?
