Hey guys wats goin on? Im having a hard time finding a sub(s) ive done alot of reading and searching on this forum i was thinking of going w 2 10 Assasins or Rli10. They would be going in a sealed box 1 cube max for each chamber underneath my backseat. I have an mtx thunder 6500d amp underated 800 w @2ohm. sub mounting depth is an issue ive been looking at subs w a mounting depth of less than 6in. Im open to all suggestions.

Thank you for your time and help,

joe

The stealthboxs are pricey checked my dealer $695 otd but he said theyre unbelievable. Is this true? Also are they worth that kind of money? I mean a box will cost me at the most $75 to build and if i bought 2 rli itd be around 300. Im just curious if the jl stealthbox is worth it?

Thanks for your help

Joe

I don't think the JL stealthbox is worth the money. You can build a box yourself for way cheaper and put a good subwoofer in it.

Along with the SS and AA (I can't remember their mounting depth)...but, a Treo SSi10 has a mounting depth of about 5.25" (or less, IIRC). It's a nice sub with alot of output...it can handle 750 rms even more. With the small mounting depth, you can probably get enough clearance for the subs excursion...this is a big factor with under the seat boxes.

I have a '05 F150 SuperCrew...I know all about under the seat boxes...I've been through a few to say the least (along with a few different subs). I got a seat lift to raise my seat 2.5" and was able to build a box for my MAGs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

IDK if there is a seat lift for the Titan. Maybe check on the Titan forums and see what they are doing.

i have been through more under the seat boxes than you can ever imagine. the ssi is a lazy woofer that requires a large ported box and a large amount of power to get loud, like 1000+ watts. i ran two ssi 10"s with 1100 watts for a while, and when then i ran some tsi 10"s and they were way louder than the ssi's. more accurate, deeper, and louder. the tsx even wants 1000+ watts. my seat has been raised as well, running two 10"s ported now. roof flexing status now.

I was running 2 SSi10s off a 9.0...they had plenty of power and plenty loud...I just wanted more. They weren't as accurate as I would have liked them to be.

The box I have now is the biggest I can go with everything factored in. No way could I do ported and still keep my back seat. I might build another box (ported) that fits in with the seats folded up and put 2 additional MAGs in that one. That way, the very few times I need to use my back seat...I can just swap out boxes. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

you should try a pair of tsx's with that 9.0. they sound awesome with that amp on them. the 9.0 is plenty of power for a pair of ssi's, but they dont have that super accurate, energetic type bass that the tsx does. they are just a bottom heavy woofer.

I agree about the SSis...but I have MAGs now and I'm VERY happy with them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

The AAs and Rli are both under 6". So what subs should i look into remember i only have 800w @2 ohm. I looked at the treo they look like nice subs gotta see if one of my dealers carry them but I dont know how well the treo subs would do with that amount of power. Also how would say 1 10"Arsenal sound compared to say 2 10" Assasins? More suggestions are welcome.

Thanks again for all your help,

Joe

if you have 800 watts and you want two woofers, your best bet would be two tsi 10"s, i ran my tsi's with 1100 watts. if you are going for a single woofer, go with the tsx.
