I'm thinking my next box is going to be nice & clean, and I would like it to have a small plexi window. Nothing big maybe 6"x12". Just something to add a glow inside to see the RE MX 12" basket. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif I've built many boxes, but none with plexi in them. So I want to make sure that I do everything right to make it strong, and hold up to a beating every now and then. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif So if you have a tip, or a link to read up on that would be great. Thx, Vic. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I was thinking of doing the same. Not sure how thick it'd need to be. Would it need to be 3/4" thick if only a small window? Was thinking of getting 1/2" maybe 6"x12" or a 12"x12" and using 1" MDF. Cutting out 1/2" grove/window about 1/2"-3/4" smaller than window and 1/2 grove down. You know so it'll sit in it like a pocket with a lip. I'm not good at describing steps to do something. Then just scotch tape it in place.

Just wasn't sure best way to secure it. Maybe Some sealant on sides and some a wooden frame on top glued/sealed (whatever) and screwed down. Then Carpet over it.

I honestly don't know if that would work or even hold up as I don't know shit about this stuff. So I guess this is pointless, lol. Just my 2 cents.

Wow THUMPER that is one sweet *** enclosure you made there. Looks expensive as hell.

I didn't see what thickness you used. Maybe cause I could stop looking at that sweet box.

I just finished a box with plexi window and I used 3/4 plexi. I also built a frame then mounted it to the baffle so that plexi was flush with the baffle. I used black weatherstriping and nut and bolted with rubber washers every 2 inches.
