i just got back word from pioneer and they say my sealed enclosure series subs will work in a ported box. To catch people up...: i am spliting up my TS-W1240C's into seperate ported boxes and selling each to friends. Pioneer says the boxes should be 1.1 cu ft and the port 6x7 in. I know i'm getting ahead of myself and forgetting stuff but i need someone to tell me the stuff i'm forgetting... they didnt tell me the tuning so how do i find that? i've seen a million different types of ports so how should mine go? i basically know the mechanical part of the build but i could use some help with the bracing. I will be posting pics all throughout the build and anyone that helps wil be hugely accredited at the end!

the tuning is the size, and the port, if you look at the sub specsthey should give you the port length, width and height, so you missing one of those numbers, so is the port a 6" tube 7 " long or is it square?

i got the port size from pioneer and thats all they gave me.... 1.1 cu ft. port 6x7 in.

with bb6p..using a 1.1ft^3 AFTER displacement...u can't use a 6x7 port unless u want the port length around 94" for 33 hz or so...

use a 2x5x 18.875 port for tuning around 35hz in ur 1.1ft^3 box...

call pioneer back and ask for tuning freq..also ask for port size and length
