Time for some deadening

25 ft did all 4 of my buddies doors 2 days ago. and I had a good 4sq ft left I say....coarse I didn't measure it and with how much I had left makes me wonder if Coleman didn't slip in a couple extra feet for good measure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gif

That aluminum is almost perfect 4mil I think is what it is...anyway its flexible enough, yet firm enough so it holds in place well and hold heat well as well as not tearing easily. Just be careful if you want, I'm never careful, got aluminum cuts on every one of my fingers no joke in about 2 hours **** stings for a while.

Most rolls are more than 25 sq ft.

alrite, so i think ill try to cover my trunk first and then those rear panels. probably gonna need to order more for my doors.....or peel n seal good enough?
Stay away from Peel & Seal and any other company that uses an asphalt adhesive.

i have a scion tc also, and also used audiotechnix deadner i put around 45sq ft in my trunk so far and will be going alot more on the hatch and trunk floor when i receive my alphadamp panels i won. def deaden your doors tho bro made a huge difference in my components so far. the hatch def rattles the most.. i still have quite a few that come from back there and im adding another 15" and doublin power so im sure i will have quite a few more good luck deadning if you find something that works for yours let me know too please.

when u say a huge difference in your components, what do you mean? and did u just deaden or baffles too?

20-25 for a trunk is over kill. Thats if you cover everything which is not how its supposed to be used.
I wouldn't really say it is over kill. After doing some quick measurements of my trunk it would take roughly 45 sq ft to cover everything 100% with no doubling up.

i did everything.. i had about 35sq ft left over after doing a layer ..two in some spots of trunk/hatch and it made a pretty noticeable difference in my midbass and just the overall vibrations coming from door i'm going to CCF my door panels when I redo my build here in a few weeks so im hopin that gets rid of some panels resonating from subs a little.

thats wassup! I def plan on doing my doors too. just cant decide if i wanna do my doors first or my rear panels/ trunk...

Sound deadening isn't supposed to cover every inch of a panel. From Sounddeadenershowdown: "To control panel resonance you should use the best vibration damper you can find and only treat the 25% at the center of the panel."
