time alignment questions

When measuring for time alignment settings, should I measure from my ear to the tweeter of each speaker component set or to the woofer? My HU asks for a setting for the sub, should I count it into the equation? If I do, obviously the settings will be much different.........

Figure out which driver is the farthest from your ear. That is your zero setting. As for the components, use the average distance of the mid and tweet on each side to set it up. Set up the sub as well. It will help the transition between the sub and the comps.
