Very rarely does a coils rated impedence match its actual impedence. I.E. A dual 2 ohm coil that reads 2.4 ohm DCR each side.

Also, check to see the resistance in your DMM leads to see if that makes any kind of difference. Set it to read ohms and then touch the leads together. Perhaps there is .1-.5 ohms of resistance in the leads.

In any event, it doesn't sound like the best of luck.

recone will work, but coils dont read the right impedence... and its not already mounted to the basket.


on a side note, draginix, i dont think he could have mounted the recone to the basket without having the motor... or another 4hpz motor

That's what came across my mind also, but my question is why didn't he say something when I told him to wait for the basket if he wasn't going need it for the recone? He should have just let me know that he wasn't going to need it so there was no need for the basket to be sent to him.

I think my biggest disappointment here is his lack of communication, after I paid i have to contact him two or three times before i can get a response.

Actual coil impedance does not always read less than nominal, as you seem to be implying dragnix. A 1.5 ohm coil could easily be marketed as a nominal 1ohm coil. Happens all the time.
