Good luck finding them. They'll only go to about 1-1.2kHz before breaking up.

Like I said, stick to 7" if you're going 2way... or 8's + horns.

I enjoy my Dayton Reference 7" woofers, but you could probably do a little better in your budget.

Hooked them up to the HT just to make sure they worked. I've been collecting all my gear for a while. Just missing a Xover and a EQ, but currently have a shortage of funds. I should have not switched sub setups so many times.

That would be on the top end of my budget...small enough they could fit IB in the doors, even.

I've always liked Morels. I used to run the Hybrids n a HT setup. Always wanted to try them n the car, and they were n my top 5 b4 I found my IDQs

Some others I researched. As much as I liked the Alum cone Seas, ID told me to run a paper or poly cone with my horns. The Vifas r great cause they're 4ohm...which is definatly a plus for a car app.

My vote for Seas G18RNX or Peerless Exclusive 7.....Scan Speak Revelator if you have the budget. From what I have read the P18RNX was thought to have a cold, hollow sound compared to the other cone materials. Sorry no personal experience but gathered from what I have read in my search for my own active 2-way frontstage.

a lot of the low-end extension has to do with the install, which should be common knowledge.
