Trying to keep a stock windshield/frame in one piece when the peak freq is 35hz would have been a losing battle.
there were a few factors that fried that sub. Tuning was too low for an spl sub. also think that, that sub was unloading alot more than the other 2 because it was closest to the port. just burp they wouldnt sweat but ran a few full tilt bassraces and that one speaker went but i think someone happened one of the times they burped it a couple weeks back at the other comp. they burped the van like 40+ times within just a couple hours. who knows. too many factors.I blew tinsels on 2 1500Ds, they fried a sub on a single 3000D. Shit happens. Now see how nice it is to have the idea of a big groundpounder with a bunch of subs? And not having to worry about anything breaking?
I hope it works out.
