quick alt question!

hey guys here is my set up!

2 sundown amps 1000d

2 si mags d2 (when they come out in a few weeks)

kinetik 2400 hc in rear (second battery)

1/0 gauge wire going from first to second 2 runs and 2 fuse holders 250amp fuse in both

alt umm i belive 165 amp (doesn't soudn right though)

what woudl you guys recommend i get for an alt like how many amps should my alt be?

also i don't have the big 3hooked up yet

You should always do the big 3. It's one of the easiest and quickest way's to help keep your voltage up...

ya i believe so i blow it one time and my dad buddie rebuilt it and he said it is now 165 but i really know if that is right.

Don't worry about getting it tested or anything yet.

Do the big 3 and tune your system.

Then play Hyponotize, or something that really has a lot of bass. Use a DMM and check your voltage to see how low you drop. If, with the second battery, you drop below 12...then you should start thinking about whether you want to go a HO alt, or another battery. I'd definitely say a HO alt though.

anyways the big 3 helps.. alot

i did it and just idleing with no music my voltage went from 14.3 to 14.8

and with the truck off 12.3 to 12.8
