Well I'm lookin into adding a amp and two subs to my car for christmas. I went to the place that installed my speakers and headunit and they said they would give me a Rockford Fosgate Punch P200-2 Amp and two Rockford Fosgate P2 Subs for 500 dollars out the door. With the box, installation, and everything. Is this a good setup/deal, and is there anything that you would switch, etc?

I currently have no amp or subs and have a Alpine CDA-9886 HU, two Alpine SPS-600 in the door, and two Alpine SPS-609 in the rear.

Any and all opinions and suggestions are highly appreciated!

Thanks again!

You could definitely find better equipment with $500, I would do a little research on here to see how many other options you have. Also are you able to build your own box and install it yourself that would save a lot of money.

it's not a horrible deal. especially if that includes a 4ga power kit and decent rca's. i figure 100 for amp 250 for subs and box which adds up to 350, then well say 80 for wiring which brings total to 430 then 70 for install.

would i pay it? No, nor would I personally own the equiptment however for the average joe, who's gonna know the difference?

Hmm, I purchased a Punch P5002 used for $90 and a dd1010 with the ported box for $140 shipped then installed everything myself. Granted, a good bit of my equipment for my Civic's build was used, but my budget was the best I could get for under $1,000. Prior to getting the 25 to Life Punch 150, I was at $850! Removing the P5002 and replacing it with the 150 will put me @ $910 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks again everyone for answering!

For the people saying this a a terrible deal, any specific reason why other than its terrible?

I honestly have no idea what kind of box and installation kit they would use. All I know is they said it includes it. lol

For the rater power I got the following off of their site.

50W x 2 @ 4-Ohms RMS 100W x 2 @ 2-Ohms RMS

200W x 1 @ 4-Ohms bridged RMS
I will admit I know next to nothing about any of this, thats why I am posting here to get advice and to do my research at the same time.
