the setup consists of: Yamaha RX-V2500 7.1 130 WPC receiver, JVC RX-DV31 cd/dvd player, Infinity Alpha 50 mains, Infinity Alpha center, Harmon Kardon HKB6 bookshelves as surrounds, 3.32 cubic ft sealed sub using a Shiva-x & O-audio 500 watt amp, Toshiba 30" wide screen HDTV.

it's the sorta defective shiva-x. i'm still waiting for its replacement to come. i figured i'd use it, and beat on it a bit till the new one comes. new one should arrive thursday.

looks like it sounds fuggin good. i would post mine but ur ish puts mine to shame as far as mains go.

sorry about not gettin back to ya, the subwoofer grill on my dayton is the grill that partsexpress.com sells. it's cheap and i like how it looks, i like it.

it sounds **** good, but the sub makes the terrible scratching, coil rubbing noise right now when i crank it. i can't wait to hear what it should sound like. from what i have heard so far the lows are sick. being 3db down at 12hz is pretty sweet.

as for the mains, i love them. stole them crazy cheap on ebay. they retail for a grand a pair and i got them for $500 for the pair shipped.

the sub is a beast. i haven't really seen or touched a lot of subs but this thing is a monster IMO. she looks and feels beefy. but so far the quality control is iffy. hopefully i got the one in a million bad one. and yes, 27mm one-way xmax.

thanks for the link gonna order two grills right now.

what do you mean iffy on quality control?

of course there is gonna be 1 bad apple after so many apples happens.

thing looks mean. xbl^2 motor is nice. i have so many questions to ask but ill wait until ur good one comes in so i can ask them.

but as far as the coil rub, does it play accurate? is it a linear driver? id imagine pretty good but u have the sub not me

i mean iffy on quality control because this one obviously should not have passed through quality control. i'm just hoping the next one is perfect. customer service seems good though so far. kevin is trying to take care of me. i sent him an email explaining what was wrong with it and he sent me out a another one no questions asked.

it plays fine, there is just a very audible scratching sound after it reaches only 1/2" excursion. so if i want to listen to things clearly, w/o the scratching noise, i can't push it very hard. it's kinda hard to tell what it really sounds like because the scratching sound is quite loud and distracting.

hopefully ups will bring me a perfect one on thursday. i'll definitely post up a review on it once i get to use a fully working one.
