I have a set of mb quart components in the doors and I recently purchased a p450.4 amp, (which according to the spec sheet it came with puts out 97 watts rms per channel, a whole 37 watts more than advertised!) and I am about to order an AA 10" Assassin to be put in a ported box. Just curious about what kind of sound quality I should expect from a 70 dollar sub... Should I go ahead and get the 12", or isn't there much of a difference? I was thinking about a 10" stage 2 Rockford punch but after looking around it doesnt seem like thats a very popular sub around here. Also, with an estimated 225 watts bridged would that be enough to power a 10" type r? Finally, I accidentally ordered 8 gauge power wire instead of 4 gauge, is that cool or should I put the extra money in and go ahead and buy the 4 gauge?
Basically any input would be great, I'm finding it's hard building a decent system with little cash, especially when all you have to go off of is your friends crappy "systems" (bazooka tube, anyone?)
Thanks -filthy
