Thinking about building a sub, looking for a motor and basket ~1k

I have a little money to spend and I want to play around with different low tuned boxes. I want a sub leans towards high output but also has some sq too, like a nice all around sub. I don't want to spend much at all, maybe like $200 total for the motor with the basket and recone kit. Looking for something around 1000w rms but more is better. D2 is fine, VC size doesn't matter much, I want a 12" but I'll take a 15" too.

Guess I should say I'll take a good working sub shipped to me for about the same price.

I have (2) Rockford Fosgate P3 motors and 12" baskets.. I would sell just the (2) motors for $20 + shipping. $15 + shipping for basket & motor. Or $30 + shipping for (2) motors and(2) 12" baskets.

blegh.. I've never heard a new RF sub that was better than the HX2

^ Agreed ^ I'm not a fan of any Rockford Fosgate products. HX2's were alright for their time despite their price. The P3's have been sitting in my garage for a few years, so figured I'd offer them. Lol.

There's an Atomic APX motor on CACO that's been up there for about half a year. Dunno what he'd take for it, but you could make a pretty beefy 15" with that. Figure 75$ or so for basket, softparts, and glue and offer accordingly.
