Thinkin of Type X Components

Is there any reason not to go with them. Seems a set is about 190 which is about what I would like to spend on a set of components. Is there another brand I should consider while I'm at it? Amp is a MRV-F345 and the head unit will be either a DNX-6960 or a INA-900BT probably the latter just to keep it all alpine. Not sure if I'll deaden the doors being the new superduty's panels are well deadened for helping keep out the sound of the diesel. I love my type x sub and am hoping I'll be pleased with the components as well.

 
I have had older type x sets and listened to the newish type x sets. Very good speakers and the tweeter is what a lot of people love. They do lack in midbass and power handling. To get mine to handle power the xover point was raised pretty high. Very smooth sets, but no midbass in my opinion

 
That's not a big deal the sub can make the bass I need.
their not talking bass... mid bass... without it, you just have lows and highs... no mix in between... you could use a set of 8's glassed into the door to cover the mids... trust me... once you get good mids thrown into the mix, you'll wonder how you ever liked car audio without it

 
For some reason I read bass. I'm not that concerned with it. Vehicle is too loud to properly hear the stereo anyhow. After research I'm gonna run some DD components and they are much cheaper.

 
AFAIK la_crx has a pair for sale at a great price.

i haven't had any personal experience with the type x speakers, but a lot of what has to do with mid bass reproduction is deadening your doors so it becomes a more proper enclosure

 
My vehicle has a lot of factory deadening since its a diesel. But its also TT with 4" straight back so the stereo doesn't have to be anything extreme since all I can hear is whistling.

Terrible video and absolutely no traction and seems i was too far down the street during filming to hear the hear the tires blowing off the rims. First cloud of smoke was no traction, had to let off and roll back into it for slightly more traction, but not alot.

Truck makes in the 600rwhp/1200rwtq neighborhood.

 
Get a set of Hybrid Audio Technologies Imagines. Right in your price range and will have the midbass you need, and the sound you want.

Also why is your diesel smokin so much.....that is just wasted fuel. Tune it right and you won't get that, but you will get more power.

Not on a 6.4. They smoke like a train no matter what you do, especially with Eric's custom tunes(my street tune doesnt smoke nearly as much but also makes 100rwhp less). I know banks spouts no smoke blah blah blah. But its bullshit, the trucks that put down big numbers and fast times will always smoke like a chimney.

Thats just how it is when you start getting fast... Any Dyno sheets? or Strip receipts?

 
Ya need a Dodge then. Yes people putting up 700+ hp will smoke...but necessarily black out intersections. Armor Inc has a dodge in the 600+ range and his is clean.

I am going to wait for efi live to come online for Dodge before I start into mine.
