Already thinking about changing? ****, I haven't heard it since you put the alts in, it was ****ing brutal then. Have you gotten it on the meter lately?

Na, no money to change anything. Im pretty much tapped out on funds.

Its a 16v setup now, but the batteries sat for so long they are drained. It sits at 15ish at idle, then goes to 16ish when I rev it. When I play it, it drops to 12s and one of my amps still shut off on me. These amps are really picky it seems.

When I get my line driver in (already paid a local guy for the Kove line driver) that will make a huge difference. Its a 6v EQ running 10 amps, and we know EQs rarely do the voltage they say. So Im really not seeing any more battery voltage than I was, and even less input voltage to each amp.

Right now its about as loud as it was before. Its got WAYYY more potential, just need to really get the batteries to soak up a super deep charge and sit at 18v. That along with a line driver would make a world of difference.

I thought the whole point of this build was to be a daily groundpounder. One you could turn up and let it play for as long as you want and not worry about the subs getting warm.

Oh, and you're probably going to kill those 16V batts too if you drop them 4 volts below what they are supposed to sit at. You could be running a 120V setup, but it won't make a difference unless you have some alts to keep them charged.

As soon as I get my voltage fixed It will play however long I want. Before if an amp didnt shut off it would play 15 minutes full volume before the subs even got warm.

yeah, I'm making tweet pods for the a-pillars. have to fine tune the enclosure design, I scratched the old one and made a fourth order. the alt is in, need to have a good shop fab my radio bezel, 1.5 din to 2 din....cage is about an inch too big and I have already hacked away at it too much for my liking.

invest in a high amp charger Chuck, I need to charge my batts too.

How long have you been using those kinetik 16volts and using the 12 & 16 volt side to run your amps?

Only been doing it a couple weeks now. I just need a 16v charger, but living at an apartment makes it hard because I cant really charge it.
