Alright- thanks for all the suggestions- im gonna have to look at all the suggestions posted- what kinda box would be recommended for 4 15 type-r's? also, anouther thought that just popped into my head- i have 2 crossfire xt15's layin around i might try out- what does anyone know about these? thanks for all the help guys

I'm going for SPL with this setup, 2 10'' L5 or 2 10'' Typer R they will be ported of course. Which one would I be better off with?

I won't be competeing or anything like that. This is for daily driving and the music will be mostly rap & r&b.

go listen to both...see which one u like better...then buy based on that. both subs have the ability to get loud and sound good, but it's enclosure dependant.

firs off apparently you dont want all out spl if you want to be able to listen to music daily with it and second sve your money for something better youll be happier in the long run

Type R is God...for now on (I cant believe there is yet another type R thread) on thanksgiving, im going to say a prayer and says "I thank Type R for this food on this special day"

Judging from the 150.0db I watched a pair of Type R 12's put up dbdrag style on the new TL in a non-optimized setup/tuning (things could have been done to improve the score)......I'd say they are fairly capable in the lanes. And that was in a box that still sounded decent for music.

Loudest subs ever? No. But, with a good box design they are very capable.

Sure, the sub is a forum boner. But, seems to me the main people bashing the sub either haven't used it, or just don't know how to properly use it. And honestly, if I hadn't heard it for myself, I'd be right there bashing it with ya. For the average street beater like this guy, they are definitely a viable option.

Well when I said all out SPL I just meant which one would hit harder with SQ not really being considered. I'm not going to compete or try to break any records, I just want something for a daily setup that hits pretty good. Also I found a really good deal on these two subs that why I asked.
