i have it on 35 for ssf(set to whichever is closer to tuning freq.) and 12db for other, what do you mean by on 80?

i meant the lp filter for 80 ssf ill put at 35 my box is tuned for 33 hz i think tha what u mean by tunning freq and 12 for other thank for being such a big help now i just gotta figured where to set the gain at

Anyone have a good ported box design for this sub? (12" 2005 Type R) Id like the sub to be facing forward, with the port facing up, at the rear if possible...

Where should I be tuning this thing to? I like it low, but I also like the not so low to be loud as well... If that makes any sense...

If I am not mistaken the port and the sub should be facing the same way.....Also the thread in "sticky" at the top of the subwoofer section "Alpine Typer R manual" if you open it and click the link it gives reccomended enclosures and tuning..

PM a few guys that have box building ads in there sigs, im not really a ported guy, ONLY because i have a single cab truck, but i think it is in the best intrest to have the sub and port on the same side of the box.

amp: soundstream reference 10.0 (it's rated 1000 watts @ 1ohm , but, i don't have any real numbers to give you)

ive been told many times not to go with alpines box specs, ask ppl who have hit 150 with them, they give them like 3ft each i think or more, but im sure at least 2 will be fine. but talk to the R experts!!!
