The Official Type R Thread

When buying a sub:1. If Sub X is made to be ported, and you will be running sealed, avoid sub X.

2. Even if Sub X can handle more power than Sub Y, you shouldn't give a *#^$ unless you have the power to blow both.

I'd say go with the SE, they like sealed boxes.
agreed... good sealed woof.

It looks like the SE cannot handle that much power though (I think it's like 500 rms) Can it handle alot more than advertised?
The SE can handle way more power. I had me Se on a 9.1 So it was about 1000 watts and she loved every minute of it.

It also has a full tank of 2.30 premium... i got it right before gas sot up to 2.30 for REGULAR... ouch. So i'd like to stretch that as much as i can.
What I wouldn't give for $2.30 premium!! I just filled up today at the cheapest gas station in my area (north los angeles county) and it cost me $3.13 per gallon for Premium.. driving around town I've seen it as high as $3.35 per gallon

just dropped the RL-P into the 2 cube 28hz box... night and day difference. It sounds extremely good, tonally its one of the best woofs ive ever heard. It still lacks extention, but this i believe has to do with the vehicle. Very smooth now, plays complex passages with ease.

I'm very happy with the SQ, we'll see if it gets louder... SPL testing later and more SQ review on the other woofs in this box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
