Are you talking about the SX vs TypeR test? The tests used the EXACT same amount of power. The guy even said, with NO changing being made, no tweaking of the gains, no opening doors putting windows down no NOTHING, just SAME thing... Took the SX out, dropped in the TypeR, and instantly gained 2.9 DB... With the SAME power.Rule of power, double the power equals double the output, or +3 dB. If the Alpine got +1 dB at twice the power, at equal power it would theoretically be -2 dB.
Only one test was used with the pair of amps.
