And are you telling me that in competition they use a sine tone for excitation? Or they look at a certain frequency for SPL? Isn't an overall, A weighted output and not quantized frequency levels?

why would you want to own a car that could never cruise around town...

because it runs 8's...

In SPL, sometimes the people will never even try music... or ever sit in the car while playing a tone even. You don't want a setup like that... kewl, but where did that come from anyway?

tl uses a 3 band freq to pick up the loudest tone and then averages the freq just above and below it. so lets say its loudest at 72 hz it will average in 71 and 73

they talk about it else where but this shows the score on the meter you can see more than 1 bar clearly even though he was trying to be sneaky about the score

RED IS type R 1242d in 2.4 cubic feet with 32 hz tune

GREEN is type R 1242d in 3.5 cubic feet with a 34 hz tune

Even with a single burp, the sideband energy that is excited will cause that gaussian curve to show up. Also, a function of the octave analyzer algorithm they are using. Crazy though, it looks like an 1/8th octave filter set which is a really weird one to use as a standard. It is not used at all in the measurement world.

hey, say what you guys want it was by far the best sounding type R i have ever heard and everyone that heard it said that also, and it was loud as hell, but we decided to go ahead and smoke the type R (sorry no realmofexcursion clips) so we took it back and paid the difference for an X, holy shit!

you guys can go against what i said its all good,

but you guys just havn't heard what i do,

i specailize in maximum SQL,

a guy at the shop showed me his w7 today, not impressed, the type R was louder and sounded alot better, really wierd (didn't build his w7 box)

but now the X is in, so my boy's not messin around anymore, i told him he'd get what he paid for

we will be at some DB drags soon too,

gotta tweak everything out
