Depends on if you want a subwoofer that is hand built in the U.S. or built by some factory over in China...

I dont know why it comes down to that, oviously stereotypical is that something built in the US hand made is better then something made in a factory over seas.

But then you look at real world examples and you have a sub that takes similer power and has the same or more reliability at a lower price.

Where exactly do we loose out in buying a prodect that does that and built overseas???

thats a tad bit of a better video, is that a bandpass box?? I could help you out on a box design for that tahoe and with the power you got you should be doing a 50db on the TL with that power.

Thanks but I'm good. I've got to 149.7dB legal on that box and 145.9dB on music. Its just a 8cuft box with interchangeable ports. Subs to the passenger side and port back as you can probaly see.

George, you said something in a previous post on how you wished you had tuned lower then 38?

yes. i liked it a good bit better tuned @33hz than i do the 38hz in my explorer.

jeremiah25 also runs a hdc in his explorer and says the recommended tuning doesn't sound great in the explorers for daily. he said he has heard it sound fine in other cars though.

so for explorers at least, i wouldn't tune as high. maybe it will get better after more break in, but currently putting my system back in is out of the question. again, this is also only 2 peoples experiences and in the same type of car, your mileage may and probably will, vary.
