I run a 15" Loaded BTL, i personally live it, before i ran this BTL i ran a HD3 and when i switched to the BTL i noticed a drastic improvement in SPL and overall tone of the woof (didnt have a hollow sound/lack of impact) like the HD3 seemed to have

Ive heard people say the new HDC3 handles more power daily then a fully loaded BTL, and ive also had people say that they are louder then a BTL, and ive heard it go the complete opposite way too and say the BTL is still louder, which of these is true

lets get it all out there, opinions wanted

i just bought a hdc315...hopefully giving it 4000rms daily. whether or not its louder wasnt really my concern if it can even get close it succeeds in my eyes due to the price difference.

1 the aluminum flat wound coil option was free this time around... Keep in mind will become a 50dollar upgrade by feb.... "SPL/DAily" 2k and up this option shines!

2 DJ will release the C3 with the Copper coil... This is the best solution for anything 2k and under and infact will out shine the Aluminum coil at 2 and under.... "Daily"

What box did you have your HD3 in?

Just curious because usually the LAST thing people would ever complain about on the HD3 is the claimed "lack of impact".

I had a BTL for a while.It was good for rap, about it.The higher notes were non-existent, kick drums lacked almost ANY impact unless the sub volume was way up and over bearing, then it sounded so shitty and un unatural you'd rather listen to no sub at all.

hit up ignoreme, he used to run a btl and is now running a hdc3 and he said that it takes the power better and sound nicer

i was debating between a btl 18" or a hdc315"...went with the 15" for the price and box size but compared to a btl 15 im hoping for good things...specially at power levels that would burn up the btl

the hdc3 will definantly take some power, ignoreme is running ~3kwrms to his and from what he says it takes it no sweat

ya im hoping it will take everything ive got from a mm4000.1 at 2 ohm...

imo i think the lpf is set too high and gains are a little high. he shouldnt pick that stuff up in the beginning as we all know.but ya i still think this thing is loud

atleast there's an 'official' thread about this. Hopefully this will be the last of this topic coming up every day. BTW someone is going to have to do a head to head test to get this thing solved once and for all.
