1) the btl is a nice woofer

2) the hdc is nice woofer

3) IMO, the hdc handles the power better than my btl did

4) i have seen too many issues with the btl and it breaking tinsels to want to own the sub again (at least the current generation btl) or to even be remotely convinced that they all just so happen to be user error from the inexperienced

5) my hdc is running off a 3kw rated amp. so keep that in mind. not gonna ever be a true 3kw, at least not on music. a true 3kw is a lot of power for just about any sub around //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif.

6) for the price i will take an hdc3 over a btl on every day of the week that ends with the letter Y

7) IMO, both the btl and hdc should be able to outdo each other in different installs. for my own particular install though, the hdc is the clear winner

Can someone please tell me if the new audioque is using the same motor as the old ones.. I heard the new ones have triple stacked mags Is this true? Thanks

You do realize larger boxes equal better efficiency and better low end per tuning per specific sub. So wouldn't it make better sense to just stage down the power? Cause to shrink the box a good amount to get another 500 watts probably would be the same volume AND loose some low end.... Now you may smooth the graph out a little and it prob will peak at a higher freq

Indeed it was too big, not even I liked it. But DJ recommended it to me and I built it, I don't know why, but I did. Had them in a 8cuft tuned at 40hz. Sounded a whole lot better.

I can understand. I'm not impressed with what the video shows as well.

ya that vid sucked balls...the phone on the roof? ive seen more flex on a cheap 12"...subs have specs for a reason...or u can just build a box big enough for 2 18"s with a port big enough for me to get in and im sure itll sound great too....

no the "c" is a totally different motor than the hd's, the "c" is a triple stack and the hd double stack.

thats a tad bit of a better video, is that a bandpass box?? I could help you out on a box design for that tahoe and with the power you got you should be doing a 50db on the TL with that power.

Depends on if you want a subwoofer that is hand built in the U.S. or built by some factory over in China...
