The most stupid thing you have done during an Install?

that is probably a common mistake... also people who touch the speaker output wires together and throw the amp into protect.... but most people are smart enough to atleast have the amp turned off... if that happens >

hooking things up when you have a live power wire, should never be a "mistake"

indeed!! You never figured that out the hard way?? Come on,, everyone has had a shock!!

I was doing a bathroom electrical project,, had shut off all the power. Was sooo confident all the bathroon was on same circuit, i just grabbed + and -.. Needless to say,, i got thrown off the tiolet i was standing on and ended up in a shaking collapse on the floor.. NOW I always test with DMM even when i am sure.

and i was in Sweden and took 240 instead of 110. (not as big of a difference as some might think) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i was building a box for my sub and all that was left was to put one side on and mount the sub. put it in and gave it a listen, heard a rattling.... turns out i forgot to screw two edges of the box... patience is key

today i built a box with construction adhesive and screws and my sub at the cone was making a flapping noise, turns out the screws on one end wasnt down tight at all and air was getting out. it was a 10" comp in a 1.75 cubic foot box with a port tuned to 38 hz and it slams pretty hard.

Dropped the wrench while disconnecting the battery. Ended up touching the positive and negative terminals at the same time. I got a little shock.
I LOVE THE WRENCH INCIDENTS!!!

I was fixing a loose terminal connection on one of my batteries (with engine running) and dropped a small cresent wrench as i was coming back out. That FUC**R landed in the pullys/belts and shot out like a bullet!! Thankfully landed safely in the water..

I once Nailed a door pod ring into my knee. Using a 2in brad nailer!

That was absolutely funny, as soon as I returned from the hospital. I had to go, because I couldn't get the ring off of my knee, the nail went into the bone thats right beside the kneecap.

Once I accidentally poured some active resin into my shoe! Polyester resin burns skin!

Bought a box without properly measuring the trunk. I could have swore 42" w was perfect. When I got the box it fit in the trunk opening but that was about it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

doing electrical work for a living, ive thankfully never been hit with 277 (what you took) but ive gotten several very good 110 hits going arm to arm. its a fantastic chest workout if you dont mind possible irregular heart beats and/or dying //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

as far as audio stuff..

i let someone else work on my audio stuff who wasnt a professional.

ive done the pos to neg thing as well in my buddies car. we had the same colored wire but his was backwards from mine. he watched me do it too and didnt say a thing. popped his power wire fuse and left a little weld mark on his brand new amp. OOPS

Burnt the hell out of my finger on a cig lighter in a car to see if it worked......
Made me feel like a dumbass.
my friend did that in my car the other day. i //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
