The most stupid thing you have done during an Install?

Does someone know why this happened?
Hmm...if he had the case of the amp grounded and the electricity went through the DMM and through the case of the amp and maybe some internals and back out...I don't know. Something like that.

As for me, luckily I haven't done anything too stupid yet. But I've only done one big install and I'm not quite done with it. Tomorrow I'll have it done. I replaced my front speakers last summer and used wire nuts to connect the wires. Too lazy to solder I guess. Let's hope I hooked everything up right and don't fry any of my amps tomorrow.

I was getting impatient while grinding down a 1/0 ring terminal to fit my alternator positive terminal. I was using goggles (small bits of metal flying around). I had just a little bit more metal to shave after the last test fit, and I didn't put the goggles back on, figuring I'd just make short work of it. You guessed it - small bit of metal came flying up and nailed me, luckily in the eyelid, but enough to cause bleeding. A couple centimeters more and it would have been the eye.

New meaning for 'It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye!'

Was recently making rear baffles for my rainbows. I used the table saw to cut my MDF into sections and got it to a pretty close fit so I was like, sweet, I just need to lob off a corner and it should go. Needless to say I stuck my MDF baffle on the table saw and lobed off that corner. Well the 3" corner I lobed off caught the back side of the blade and shot about .00001" away from my face as I rushed my head out of the way and the chunk of wood flew across the room and stuck into the wall! God must have been trying to tell me something because it seems like I reacted and moved my head before the wood was launched. Stupid I know, I will never use the table saw in place of a reciprocating saw or jig saw ever again. Just the thought of that wood whizzing by and nicking my hair at who knows how many hundreds of miles per hour scares the crap out of me.
