The monster has arrived pix!!

Did I see in the first pic that there are some removable covers under the metal screen that goes from end to end? I like the way it looks with out the covers, being able to see some guts, reminds me of a JBL GTI amp.
Yes it has removable covers.. If you look through the pics, you will see that I removed the covers to expose the guts through the screen;)

JOO need to show me this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Will be my first recone ever. I will definately let you know when the recone comes in.. What part of knox do you live in again?

As for the amp, yes you need to see it. Its Huge!

I was 'dumbing it down' for the 'typical' caraudio.com user to understand.
If you want to get technical, we certainly can.

The high thermal conductivity of Aluminum combined with a large surface area due to the fins or flanges results in a pretty quick transfer of thermal energy to the surrounding air.

****, someone just got technical.

i bet you love american bass amps eh?

the real deal is... there's also a point of diminishing returns too.... Not every amp needs the most efficient cooling design possible.

personally i like the whole design of that amp..

I have a grand marquis... You are going to go deaf in a week.
Eh, I will be fine. The goal is a 150 out of this trunk, which normally would be a cake walk with 2 18s, but our trunks are quite different than most, and the seats do not fold down. I already took out the speakers in the rear, and cut a hole through the arm rest for more flow. Will be doing some serious porting in the back deck very soon.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

i had an 01 Marquis. was loud as hell with 1 DD 9515F.

Yep, my single 18 was certainly loud, but these cars are some of the hardest to get loud. Especially when the seats don't fold down, and tge gas tank blocks half of the trunk off...

I have an ls400 and it's a ***** and a half to get loud also. also almost impossible to wire. it sounds like it's the same kinda thing as in yours, towncar.
It is not nearly as bad as the ls, but its still a task... Lucky for me, I have alot of ways to get more air flow, especially via the arm rest, and back shelf..

reminds me of the trunk in my old seville...

P.S.

i forgot to add in that last p.m.

you will also need four small clamps (spider landings)

and a big pack of clothspins from wally world (surround)
alright..
