THe Good Guys are closing

Yes!
Good guys stores are closing yes, but the company is not closing.

We are useing the oppertunity to create mega stores, just like best buy/magnolia stores.

To the guy who said F Comp...meh *shrug*

The only reason i say F comp usa is because they screwed eveyrone workin for good guys over(at least in my store completly) everything they promised was taken away, so no severence pay, no new job with better pay(which they promised).and the new "mega" stores are only gona carry high end tvs, recievers, and speaers. no car audio.

I'm just wondering what the hell is going to happen to my extended warranty that I bought on my widescreen TV.

the extened warranty you bought was through GE(general electric) so before your store closes call and get the number if anything hapens to teh tv they will cover it just not as well as in store.

i saw at the store....that if u buy from the manufacturer it will still be good.
i wonder one thing..........does all the stuff there HAVE TO GO??? in other word....how low will they go?? hehe. good luck to everyone. get ur christmas gift early this year! haha

If you worked for GG I am sorry that it happened to you. TRUST me I know how you feel. I was laid off to when Comp had thier big layoff. Being a rivate company sucks, you honestly dont know what could happen. Carlos could sell at anytime without any notice.

As far as warrantys go, all manufacture warrantys will be covered. Any GG or TAP programs you will need to contact one of the remaining GG "mega" stores to find out for sure. I only work in merchandising, I dont have a clue on the warranty side.

yeah your right im jus angry lol, took em awhile to get this job and liked it, only had it for 5 months. and all warranty are covered through GE so you jus call and they will get everyhting and fic it and what not

To be completly honest...from what I understand GG was bought solely to get Comp int the higher end HT market. The GG was severly struggling and Carlos saw it as an oppertunity. I could be wrong...

EXACTLY, but from what i understood we werent struglling, some of our stores were solely because of our advertising budget, the only real advertisment my sotre got was INSIDE comps and noone knew about. and we were still pretty profitable.but your right comp closed us for the high end HT market

But GG was struggling. I know this for a fact. Remember I see the numbers daily. Hell, even your hayward cross-dock had so many issues members from my team had to go in and revaluate how things were run. Nothing any of us can really do now. How close are you to a Comp store? You should be able to get a job there no prob.

like 10-15 mins, thats last ditch effort i really really dont like the store manager her an *** for sure. when we did inventory he was entirely to bossy for not helping with anything considering we were there working our ***** off at 5 in the morning

i might put in an app there, thech guys r pretty cool really ****in helpful to guy they jus met but one of the employees tried to sel me an E-machine comp and i told im kind a gamer and dont want to do to meny upgrades. maybe if they open the megastore ill go sell tvs there i know enough about them

donno not sure how much they wanna lose on car audio but u have time noones is interested in it, its to expensive
