Most of my friends like it or are scared of it, but regardless I am known as the stereo guy. I dont usually turn it up while people are in the car though because we are talking. If I do turn it up they complain that it hurts their ears, which I understand. The gf likes it though, she yells at me for not turning it up all the way.

I see some people don't like sq but can't show the guy the same respect he showed you. I also see some people that don't even realize what true sq is. I am not a fan of audiophile grade sq. I am how ever a fan of perfect reproduction with a slightly exaggerated low end and perfect staging. 140 db sub stage is more then plenty for me as well

I go for flat response so usually isn't much of a difference between around 30-55 under 30hz it will start to drop off. I used to be into spl, but now I just like to listen to music in it's entirety instead of loud and bass blaring.

Personally I dont think a flat response sounds the best, not saying I cant get it close, but thats not my preference. My sub plays within .2dbs of flat from like 28 to 45ish then it starts to roll off by about .5 and catches the mids around 60-70. 175 watts to each mid and tweet will keep up with 140 just fine

I listen to way to many different types of music for it to not be flat. It helps being that my midbass kicks in at 50-55hz but I think my subwoofers are my biggest problem with under 30hz. Oh well gives me an excuse to start over and try new things

it's been about 10-15 different enclosures. If I had to guess I lose right around 4db down at 20hz, it's not a huge drop but it is noticeable. I am running a folded horn right now, thinking about trying a tapered tline before switching subwoofers.

And yes I think it's funny some one has such an empty life they need to groan everything I say. Not like it really matters, I guess some one has their ******* in a bunch.

also you missed one.

^ groan

My ears hurt from my factory radio at completely normal listening levels, which is why I'm replacing everything, lol. For me I want deep extended bass but if the mirrors shake or drown out the mids and highs then it's too loud. I can appreciate what you SPL guys do, but I probably won't ever want to sit in your cars while they're "Flexing". I sell hifi audio for a living, I gotta keep my hearing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
