The friend who complains about subs thread

i hate riding my cousins around. All they ever want me to do is crank it until everybody's ears are ringing and they've pissed off everyone within hearing range.

They're gonna hate me for going SQ with my new setup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

One of my friends used to be like that when we were a little younger(16-23~). I stopped hanging out with him cause of it. I would never go to his house if I was driving/had a system. When I was in the middle of a project(systemless) or another friend was driving it was fine. He eventually chilled out and were pretty good friends till this day.

I need to down size in box size, if I don't end up under window with over 1/2 of my cargo area left I won't be happy.
and here I am completely ruining a truck by wanting to wall+ add 9 more batts and 2 amp racks to the bed.

To be fair, my truck could never be a work truck or passenger vehicle after the mods it's already had.

I'm already at my size limits, and 1 15'' is 20'' more cone. I have 1700rms the biggest problem is when I gain on the low end I also gain on the top end. I have zero eq on my sub stage that is why I can not get the low freq to respond as flat as above 25-30hz. my next box will fix that problem easy, I just don't have the space for a longer horn.
You need processing. The transfer function of your vehicle is too erratic/severe to allow you to expect box design alone to provide a flat response for 1-1/2 to 2 octaves that pass through your vehicle's resonant frequency. Design the box to give you the output/response you want in the 'problem area', and then use a processor to level out the rest to it.

Even sealed boxes, which tend to roll-off well in comparison to the average transfer function of a vehicle, usually require some processing to truly get to play flat.

Decided this needs to be brought back and my status on this has changed with my friend. He noticed we all knew he didn't like bass and decided to start acting like he does.

I don't have much issues with people and bass really. I find it is harder to get people to ride on the bike then anything. I can not even think of the amount of girls that want to ride, but chicken out at the last second.... Perhaps it is "how" I ride..and not the bike though... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
