The Civic's getting painted, what color?

The car's finally going to the body shop on Monday. Getting a full refinsih. All dents and dings will be pulled and filled, and then it will be repainted.

The car right now is Clover Green.

I was thinking of three colors.

Si Pearl Blue, with a few coats of a nice clear coat.

Or Black, or maybe stay close to factory but go a little darker.

Any opinions?

I like that. I was thinking earlier about a grey-ish gunmetal.

Gunmetal is nice, too. I'm thinking bout getting a Civic when I get back to the states, and gunmetal is one of those I really considered. I think I'm gonna go with the green, though.

Bout how much should a full paint job run?

Depends really. The guy doing it is a friend. A FULL paint job, at any given shop can run up to around $4000 just for a factory paint job.

I think mine is getting done for around $1500-$2000, including body work, which is a lot of dings and small dents.

Yes, every thing will be repainted.

Don't think I'll be able to get the whole engine bay repainted though, alot of crap in there that I really don't want any body taking apart and stuff.

ha....4000....wow...and even ur 1500-2000 is way overpriced than what me and my roommate charge....i'm doin so much body work on my crx its not even funny...idiot got hit under the gas latch so that rear quarter panel had to be pulled and built...and since it was an si and they welded the sunroof in i have alot to do on the roof...and i've only paid maybe 100 so far...and now i jus have to get the black paint i want (20 a qt) or the dark red(40 a qt) and paint the complete car. the engine bay has already been done in rubberized undercoat....so sweet
