need some help

i have a remote start alarm on my 99 tahoe. i read in another post that if the bypass goes bad it goes into security and wont start, does wont start mean it turns over and wont run or does it mean it will do nothing at all? because i unhooked my bypass and my security light started flashing and wouldnt stay running. so i just need to know what to replace starter or bypass. thanks

bypass. or you have to wait 10 min for the security to shut off. common common issue with chevy trucks 98-03
