Finished up the back. So we elected to place 2x4s horizontally across the first back plate. We then Made a second back plate to hide the 2x4s..... Plenty of wood glue was used //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Are you going to split the next piece horizontally and keep switching back and forth until you have made it thick enough?
Please see the pictures I just posted. We ended up using 2x4s and a second back plate. We will probably end up doing a little bit more as well to make sure the back is extremely strong.
