Like i mentioned, it did win the safari rally in 85,, and then an almost identical car with one of the same drivers won in 86. So.. Most definately!!!

yeah, and from the looks of it, they have done a few upgrades to the engine.

i like that. myself i prefer n/a engines, but i still have respect for the turbo guys out there. alot more to tune and monitor, but alot more power from small engines.

do you think so?? I was under the impression that they were putting it back into the EXACT condition it was in when it won the 85 safari rally. What would be the point otherwise? Especially since it is most likely going to be driven little, if any!!

did you see all the pics? it looks similar, but some stuff looks diff. the turbo "looks" larger, but it could just be the pics. nice engine to say the least.

i really dont like the car itself, the body is nice, but the paint job sux. i mean its a good job and all but not the way i would do it.

This car, and others like it, are like Japan's equivalent of our muscle cars. They paved the way for the modern Japanese sports cars.

Not to mention, Juha Kankkunen used this exact same car to win the Safari and Ivory Coast rallies.

So, not only is this car a classic, but it has great historic value as well, making this "piece of shit celica" more valuble than most people's houses.
