Love this idea! I've actually had a fun little thought of doing something similar with a bunch of cheap tens off of like 1000-1500 watts but just dont have the time or funds really with being in school. Regardless, this is looking good!
Mostly finished! I dont know if I want to carpet it or paint it.
Chillin in the Jeep tuned to 53hz with about 330 sq inches of port lol
All wired up
Tiny Audiopipe amp that surprisingly delivers
port piece tuned to 33hz with 195 sq inches of port
Port piece in. Plays quite low but still has a nice response in the 55-60hz range.
Overall I am very impressed with this build. If I had to guess its in the 147-148 range at around 40-45hz. This is based on past installs and what not. I believe there is room for improvement as far as adding another ap1500. Or possibly changing over to different subs and adding the ap1500. But for a 500 dollar build off 1500ish watts it plays very loud from 30-60hz.
Comment away!
oh and videos will be up as soon as I can track down my digicam
apparently one of the woofers came from Crunch bad. Seems as though it was hitting the backplate with quite alot of force. I think the spider assembly had a defect. I sent the woofer back and got a new one. Night and day difference! It has become extremely violent. Seems like the bad woofer was working against all of the good woofers. I put it on the meter today and all sealed up its now doing a 149.7 and with the door open does a 153 flat. I still need to fine tune it all but my budget build seems to be on its way to breaking a 150 like I had hoped!
Oh and I was beating on it coming home and its about a 30 min drive playing some DECAF mixed music and got home and the subs were barely warm. I cannot believe how well this has turned out. I need to borrow my bro's digicam and drive out to the middle of nowhere and get lots of vids.
