testing subs?

I pulled my old hcca's out to build a new box and decided to test the ohm load on all of the VC's.

On two 15's it tested exactly 2.4 ohms on every side.

Is this correct for 2 ohms per side DVC?

Pretty much. Most VC's don't read right on the ohm rating.

They almost never read 2 ohms or 1 ohm or whatever it is.. my D1 i had a while ago was at 1.4 or around there

then why would these all read 2.4 exactly when there 2 ohm subs?

Of course it jumps between 2.3-2.7 but then rest at 2.4

well I hope its a good sign that they are all read consistently when these subs are 11 years old

touch ur leads on the dmm together and subtract that impedence. i bet the coils are actually lil lower than 2ohm...
