Hey guys i have an older amp laying around without the wires. I was wondering if there was an inexpensive way to test of it still worked? Maybe a DMM? But I would have to buy one if that was the case...

not really a way to do that without hooking it up to some kind of power source. either a car battery, or 12volt power supply.

Ya, you will need a 12v power supply/source, speaker, and an mp3, cd or some sort of input source.

I use a lawn mower battery for testing small/mid size amps and headunits.

I have 8ga running from the battery

plug my ipod into the rcas

I literally drew that in the minutes before my post, from scratch in Paint, not referencing anything else. But it's nothing special and typical.

I'm sure this diagram has been done dozens of times before. I figured it would be faster to draw it than search for one that didn't ****. Hehe.

I normally use CAD so my lines are perfect. But paint was faster.
