ok just got my 1/0 gauge klmx wire from kun today went to put some 1/0 welding wire terminals on it and they don't fit there smaller then the wire .WTF i thought welding wire was supposed to be bigger then audio wire . so either the terminals are smaller then there supposed to be or the wire is bigger then normal 1/0 gauge wire. so would 2/0 terminals work for it

Don't know who told you that, it's the other way around for the most part

Yes 2/0 lugs should work just fine. It's what I use for the Kolossus Kable

If it's really close, trim off enough strands to fit into the lug and heat shrink it. The audio cable is fatter because it has a higher strand count and more airspace in there. Not necessarily because it's more copper per inch. I.E. a 1/0 cable with only 6 thick strands (or a 1/0 rod) will be a lot thinner, but the same conductivity.

This man is exactly right. Current flow depends on amount of material it has to flow through. A 1/0 copper rod will flow the same as a 1/0 piece of wire the same length. And be alot smaller in diameter.

This is one reason why people use buss bars instead of an ugly mess of 6inch jumpers when doing multi-batt setups. A standard 2 x 1/2 copper buss bar will flow close to the same as 4 runs of 4/0 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

2/0 lugs fit 1/0 welding cable better as well, it's not hard to understand why.

The wire expands slightly as you pull the PVC jacket off of it. When you put it in the 2/0 lug, and then crimp it, you can get a slightly flatter lug, as it is compressed more to compensate for the lack of wire. I use those $2 copper lugs some, but I prefer set screw rings.

I think the reason 2 gauge welding lugs work is wire size myself. I was comparing the 2 yesterday, I had a piece of each, 1/0 Audiopipe and 1/0 welding in my hand. Big size difference. The 1/0 welding wasn't very much bigger than the 4 gauge I have.

you all must buy the cheapo welding cable. my flex-o-prene 1/0 cable is not 4ga by far.

and these lugs > all others //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
