Current flow depends on amount of material it has to flow through. A 1/0 copper rod will flow the same as a 1/0 piece of wire the same length. And be alot smaller in diameter.This is one reason why people use buss bars instead of an ugly mess of 6inch jumpers when doing multi-batt setups.
