Tennesee Schools start drug spray detection?

So if my kid tests positive with the spray at school and he test positive from a blood test, then he is still clean. Got it.

I would love to prove myself innocent if I were that. I would only oppose a test if I knew the outcome would not favor me.

I don't agree with tests that involve such a high rate of false positives like this spray. As a parent if you suspect your child then the a urine or blood test should be done if you want. Then deal with it in the confines of your own home. However, a school should not be able to publicly use a process such as this as a basis for suspicion when it is obvious how many false positives it can fire off.

I agree to the bolded section. Tests should be kept between the school and a parent and that is the intent FWIR in the OP.

I told them you were a good kid and that we will go to the Dr office to clear your name once and for all. If the kid is innocent, he will be happy to oblige. If he is a pothead, he will resist.

Your source of resistance is your personal guilt of being a pothead and not wanting to be caught yourself. You cannot imagine what an innocent person would think like because you are not innocent yourself. I happen to speak from a different position than you do since I have never used.

You are so wrong and have no clue on how kids really think then. I didn't lose control until I went away to college.

My source of resistance comes from knowing the obvious flaws in this system of detection. I have no problems with parents doing what they need to and if you want use the spray at home, more power to you. This sort of detection system has no place being used on kids in public. That is my only concern. If you think kids psych isn't fragile in HS to this sort of public chastising then you are a clueless parent.

It will not be kept that way. the tests will be conducted and people will see and hear about. To think otherwise is just naive.
