Tennesee Schools start drug spray detection?

To all saying that this will bring about lawsuits, you may be right, but they will more than likely get tossed. Schools have a right to do this, it's been upheld time and again in our court system. With that in mind, I do not think that this test is a good idea, as everyone has already pointed out, the opportunity for a false positive is extremely high, and since it has always been held in this country that it is better to let 10 guilty people go free then to falsely convict 1 innocent man, I can't agree to this form of testing.

Hey, I am all for one of the schools coming up with some plan for who is doing drugs to weed them out or whatever, but this is the wrong way to go about it. Snoop has made many vailid pts to why it would not work out.

I see many problems with this for the parents, kids.......hell everyone.

Works in theory, not in practice. Any parent who WILLINGLY would let their child be sprayed obviously has problems taking care of their children and being a good influence to them.

Where are the parents in all this, besides sitting idly by and letting the school systems ruin their children further?

Way to fawking go TN.

They are all naive like loopkiller.
No, they are lazy and feel that some spray is a better way to know what their kids are doing that personal interaction. Now they don't even have to talk to them about drugs and those choices; they can sit and wait until the spray comes up positive.

I will sue them if they used that shit on me and called up my parents. Thats my own **** business what i do. Just like my parents can't access my school records. I wouldn't mind telling my parents myself but i don't want other *****es at school to go telling my folks what i be doing.

Unless this is high school we're talking about then....by all means carry on

It would be hard to sue due to implied consent when entering school grounds. However, K-12 is compulsary; therefore, you are legally required to give up your rights. Not sure how that is legal at all, but it is.

you would be taking your kid to get blood tests every week. probably twice a week. I guarantee that if you handle money, you are going to show up positive. Not only that but who in the right ****ing mind would keep drugs in there locker?
