tc9

... i don't see anyone asking anything about an enclosure... just how much have people put to tc9's for burps
whoopdidoo, I got confused w/ that "tc9 box" thread...

anyhow, the motor does not determine the power handling.

soft parts play a major roll, and size does too because different size subs have different cooling ability.

with that said my tc-9 received 2400wrms and got loud and didn't burn up the coil. I wouldn't recommend it for long tho

If you want sealed specs for a 12 I run 17.5x17.5x11.5 lxwxh mount it sub up works perfect for 1200 watts o yea their all external dimensions wit .75 mdf.

could be 500w, could be 2000w.
depends on the soft parts you put in it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Who cares about motor saturation or power compression right?

i gave mine 800w clipped when i had them. (before Oscope)

A magnet assembly alone is not a motor as was stated by James Bang. You need a coil and a magnet to have a motor. To oversimplify it, the coil determines the thermal power handling and the soft parts determine the mechanical power handling. Other than wicking away heat, due to the mass of metal being near the coil and having provisions to force air over the coil, the magnet assembly has very little to do with the question your asking. It's more to do with the total mass of aluminum or copper involved.

most of you dont know about motor Bl and saturation. example i can put in a dd coil that would handle 3k daily and 5k for burps easy and it burn it up in the tc9 with half that power, why because of the motor not the coil.

what makes the dd 3500 not handle as much power as the 9500? they both have the same coil, its the motor.

so what ur saying is if i have a tc9 motor and put a heavy flat ccaw coil in with 10 spiders it will b louder than a stock mt because the coil is bigger and spiders are stiffer,not...
